Default Awesome Throttle Body cleaning results

Well guys I finally decided that it was long over due to clean my throttle body with 147k on my 05 5.4. It has been seeming very sluggish on take offs and mid range. Well I cleaned it today and man! It wants to spin some rubber on takeoffs now!
Here's some before and after pics. I don't think it had ever been cleaned. There was some serious build up on the motor side. Just thought I'd share my success

Don't forget to adjust the pedal to make sure it is getting full throttle and do the diamondbird to get the most out of it

I've only gone about 10 miles with the cleaned throttle body, so I'm not sure about the mileage. I'm sure it'll help somehow, very anxious to see next time I fill up.

I just pulled it off the truck and used some carb cleaner and an old toothbrush. It worked great

I've heard using carb cleaner on our throttle bodies is a no-no. Something about it taking the teflon coating off the blade. But I'm glad to hear it's working good for you.

I also did the same today following this thread https://www.f150forum.com/f72/how-cl...ody-maf-75006/ I also picked up Throttle Body Cleaner and MAF cleaner. It cost me $13. Big improvement. Mine wasn't nearly as dirty as the OP it was pretty clean actually so maybe the previous owner had it replaced not sure.
