Queen Rania of Jordan at 53: celebrating her 53 best style moments in honour of her birthday
Well-wishes are in order for Queen Rania of Jordan, who celebrates her 53rd birthday on 31 August. The embodiment of regal grace and charm, the ageless Rania has distinguished herself as one of the world’s most elegant royals.
Since marrying the then Prince Abdullah of Jordan (now King Abdullah II) in 1993, Queen Rania of Jordan has captivated the world with her impeccable royal style. As elegant in traditional Jordanian clothing as bedecked in diamonds at lavish gala dinners, the philanthropist and education advocate knows how to dress for any occasion.
Rajwa Al Saif is celebrating her birthday, weeks after announcing she is expecting her first baby with Crown Prince Hussein, son of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, later this summer. Here, Tatler opens their wedding album in honour of the occasion
It remains to be seen how the royal will mark the occasion but she certainly has plenty to celebrate: her son Crown Prince Hussein married the beautiful Princess Rajwa earlier this year, months after her daughter Princess Iman’s wedding.
Indeed, her look at Crown Prince Hussein’s wedding was one of her most stylish ever. Queen Rania of Jordan looked captivating in a black long-sleeved gown from the Dior A/W 2022 couture collection. The Jordanian queen swept her hair into a sleek updo, revealing intricate embroidery down the back. The look was finished with a structured handbag and simple black stilettos.
Similarly triumphant sartorial displays came at the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in May and on a visit to Spain, where Rania went toe-to-toe with Queen Letizia to deliver a series of sensational outfits.
