Queen Rania Of Jordan’s Stylish Visit To Washington
President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden hosted Queen Rania and King Abdullah II last week during the royals’ state visit.
This was the Jordanian couple’s first visit to see the Bidens during their presidency. They had previously visited during President Trump’s presidential term in 2018.
This visit was an opportunity to discuss the many challenges facing the Middle East and showcase Jordan’s leadership role in promoting peace and stability in the region, said an official statement.
Lady in red, Queen Rania was all style and grace as she met with Dr. Jill Biden.
Queen Rania wore a Hussein Bazaza pleated dress styled with Manolo Blahnik pumps and a leather belt.
Judging from the look book, the pussy-bow ties were intended to fall to a relaxed drape. Some might like that it makes the look feel more approachable, or contemporary, others may wish she had tied them for an even more polished finish.
I love how she took any fussiness out of the look with her styling.
Dr. Jill Biden was looking just as radiant wearing a white Adam Lippes sheath dress and blazer.
I love the summertime feel, the sharpness, and minimalist nature of it all, to which she added floral detailed Dior J’Adior slingback kitten heels, which she has in a few styles.
On day two of her White House visit, the Queen was looking ever so elegant once again.
The detail of her Celine blouse lies at the neckline where a scarf-like feature falls languidly in a display of opulence, which she paired with a pink Valentino pleated skirt.
I’m not sold on her Christian Dior pink and silver mesh pumps. While they are cute, I don’t think they work with this look.
But I did love her cream OneSixOne bag.
For the Queen Capitol Hill visit the Queen was a vision in white Roksanda.
This dress was a custom version of Roksanda’s Sunyani dress from the Fall 2021 collection.
The v-paneled necklace and silhouette are the same, but the sleeves have been upturned, and a waistband has been added.
I believe the modifications were added to imbue more structure to this look, but I prefer the original version.
For past seven days I have been trying to find a full-length picture of this final look from the Queen as it is easily my favourite.
Not only for the Christopher Kane blouse in this gorgeous shade of green, which was originally sold with an arm-slit.
But also, for her mastering the paper bag waist on this Gabriela Hearst Jordan pencil skirt.
I’m always envious when people can make this style of skirt look so elegant. My long torso says no.
