Vegeta's powerful new transformation finally revealed in Dragon Ball Super's manga

Looking a bit like Super Saiyan 3 there prince

While Goku ended up receiving just about every transformation and variant fans could ask for in Dragon Ball FighterZ, Vegeta still has a few available options left, and he's apparently just added another to that list.

Early manga scans of the upcoming chapter of Dragon Ball Super's manga have appeared online, which reveals the appearance of Vegeta's newest powered up state that may truly go beyond the Super Saiyans. Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super chapter 74 and Granolah the Survivor Saga ahead.

According to the scans shared by DBHype and others across the internet, Vegeta takes on Granolah following Goku's defeat in the previous chapter, but things don't seem to be going smoothly for the prince of all Saiyans at the start either.

After getting kicked in the stomach in his Super Saiyan Blue form, Vegeta reverts to his base state before proclaiming that the "blood of the Saiyan warrior race boils in his veins" and transforming into his new state that's been built up since the beginning of this arc.

Vegeta's hair receives a new shading effect in this still unnamed transformation, which implies that it'll appear different than his standard jet black hair though we don't know that yet either.

What's perhaps most striking about his design here is the lack of eyebrows that makes it look very similar in nature to that of Super Saiyan 3 like we first saw in the Buu Saga all those years ago.

The new form itself is almost surely derived from the powers of the Gods of Destruction considering Vegeta has been training under Beerus these past handful of chapters to achieve more strength in a different way than Goku's more angelic Ultra Instinct.

This has led many in the community to postulate that Vegeta's hair may turn purple or at least be tinted by it considering the ki Beerus generally employs is purple as well.

The same could be said for his unique looking aura though it almost appears like fire, which would also make sense since Beerus has been shown in the past to create projectiles that look like the sun.

"The God of Destruction taught me this," says Vegeta following his transformation as translated by our own Nicholas 'MajinTenshinhan' Taylor. "The power to move purely by instinct."

His last line there implies that this new form could work somewhat similarly to Ultra Instinct though focusing more on destructive ki than godly ki.

Part of Beerus' instruction / advice this arc has been to tell Vegeta to not be held back by the thoughts of his past sins and those perpetrated by the Saiyans to advance beyond Super Saiyan Blue and focus solely on the destruction of what's in front of him.

To see what this new Vegeta can really do, we'll have to wait until chapter 74 releases on July 20. We can also probably look forward to this form showing up in pretty much all Dragon Ball games going forward.

It's probably safe to assume though that this transformation is far from mastered and won't get the job done against Granolah yet. Otherwise, this would be the shortest arc Dragon Ball has seen.
