Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball officially justifies why Goku is always stronger than Vegeta

The official Dragon Ball website features a dissertation written by a University Professor regarding the rivalry between the two most powerful Saiyans.

Update:
Goku Vegeta Dragon Ball

If there is an iconic rivalry in the world of manga and anime, it is the one between Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball since the arrival of the Prince of Saiyans on Earth. Since then, and after switching sides during the Freezer story arc, both characters maintain a rivalry that remains more than ever in the current Dragon Ball Super stories, in an escalation of power and transformations that seems to know no limits.

Even though Vegeta managed to surpass Goku in power at one point, the legendary Dragon Ball protagonist always manages to push his limits a little further, which Vegeta finds very disturbing. Now, the official Dragon Ball website addresses this issue and offers an answer as to why Goku always manages to surpass Vegeta.

Why Goku is always one step ahead of Vegeta

The same question was asked by a professor at Chubu University in Japan named Nobuyuki Ota, who looked at the issue from the psychological side and the way the two warriors see each other, concluding that the way Vegeta values Goku is his biggest burden in trying to surpass him in power. According to Professor Ota, Vegeta always makes the same mistake of focusing his evolution as a Saiyan on Goku, while Goku does it through a global vision.

Furthermore, the study concludes that Goku does not see the other characters as direct rivals, while Vegeta always has between his eyebrows that Goku is his greatest and only rival to defeat. All of this only reinforces Vegeta’s proud and competitive nature, with Goku as his main target, discarding all other opportunities around him to further increase his power over Goku.

The silver lining? Goku and Vegeta always end up on the same side, so both fighters use each other to improve as Saiyans.
