An arrest has been made in a case involving two women, forced to strip naked at gunpoint, during a violent hotel robbery.

The robbery happened at the Boca Center Marriott on Town Center Circle last March.

Two woman told Boca Raton police a man knocked on the door and forced himself inside when they opened the door.

The man, dressed in dark clothing with a mask over his face, pulled out a gun.

Police said the intruder ordered the women to hand over their handbags, open the safe and then take off their clothes.

One of the women told police the man called someone on a cellphone to say everything was "OK," according to the report. He then left the room with the women's car keys, cell phones and other belongings, like cash, jewelry and a white gold Cartier watch.

Thirty minutes later, investigators said one of the victim's cell phones showed a location alert at an Extended Stay hotel in Pompano Beach.

Broward County detectives scoured the parking lot and found a picture of the suspect, 30-year-old Henry Ronald Mitchell, and another woman on the dashboard of a car. The officer could also see a black ski mask, black shirt, black glove and cell phone in plain view in the car.

Investigators learned Mitchell and the woman checked into the hotel in Pompano Beach after the robbery in Boca Raton. Authorities also learned he was released from prison after being convicted of armed robbery with a firearm.

Broward Sheriff's deputies arrested Mitchell and the woman as they left the hotel. According to the report, investigators recovered a number of items from the robbery at the hotel in Boca Raton.

Mitchell told detectives he received the jewelry from a friend. He's facing two counts each of robbery with a firearm, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.

The woman, identified by authorities as 30-year-old Wendy Gibbons, is facing charges of false imprisonment and robbery with a firearm.
